All the other chickens are very busy. Maud lays one egg every day. Dora lays one egg every other day. Nadine lays exactly five eggs a week.
But not P. Zonka. She's a dreamer. She just wanders around the farmyard, staring at the flowers and gazing at clouds. "I don't get it," says Maud. "P. Zonka is just plain lazy," clucks Nadine. "Come on," says Dora. "You can do it." But when P. Zonka finally decides to give egg laying a try, the other chickens are in for a spectacular surprise!
